When you first meet with Penny she will spend time listening carefully to your description of what happened and how your injury affects you in your daily life. Penny will then explain what your rights are and the best way to seek compensation as soon as possible.

We do not charge you for this appointment and it is obligation free.

It's your case so it is important that you understand the costs involved from the very beginning. We will explain in detail the costs that will be involved in your case the first time you meet with us. You will be given a cost arrangement document to take home and read, discuss with us further and sign if you wish. You have the right to negotiate the terms of the cost arrangement document. We will only start work on your case when you understand and sign the cost arrangement document.

No win no fee applies to professional fees if we recommend proceeding

If we recommend proceeding with your case we will offer you a no win no fee cost arrangement. That means that we will only charge you professional fees, that is, fees for our legal services, if you obtain some compensation.


No win no fee does not apply to out of pocket expenses we incur

Out of pocket expenses are also known as disbursements. Out of pocket expenses include expenses such as payment for medical reports, witness expenses and court fees. If your case settles or you win your case, a lot of your out of pocket expenses are often paid for by the defendant. In most cases you will have to pay for our out of pocket expenses if you do not have a successful outcome. We will estimate the out of pocket expenses that are likely to be incurred at each stage of your case in our cost arrangement document so you will be fully informed at all times about what these are. It is possible to seek assistance from law aid for payment of these expenses in some circumstances and we can advise you about this and assist you with such an application.
