We are seeking to appoint a senior paralegal.

 

The Role

•Assist with the day-to-day operations of files / client management

•Manage complex databases of information

•Devise systems to support information retention and accessibility

•Prepare matters for hearing, court documents, legal documents and general correspondence

•Assist clients with enquiries

•Prepare simple correspondence and documents as directed

•Brief and liaise with counsel

•Correspond, brief and liaise with medical practitioners and other experts

•Develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and external to the organization

•Assist with the day-to-day handling of clients claims across WorkCover, motor vehicle and public liability matters

•Answer client's enquiries

•Collate and draft documents and general correspondence

•Coordinate medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations

•Develop and maintain strong working relationships

•Administrative tasks as required

Required Skills

•Prior experience as a Paralegal is essential, ideally 3 to 5 years

•Client service oriented, strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

•Highly proficient in leap legal software

•Good understanding of Court processes

•Excel and database skills essential

•Ability to work as part of a team and show great commitment

•Comfortable to work under pressure when needed

•Advanced MS Office skills required
